Frequently asked questions

Why should you service our boiler ?

We only do full strip down services, we do not do a visual, analyser and empty the condensate trap service like most companies. Although usually not recommended by manufacturers until 5 year intervals, it is the only way to spot potential problems and eliminate breakdowns. More details here

What can you work on ?

We can work on all Domestic and Commercial Natural Gas, LPG and Oil installations, Boilers, Unvented Hot Water Cylinders, Cookers, Fires, Warm Air Heaters, oil tank replacement, central heating system repairs, leaking toilets and dripping taps, anything you may need.

How much do you charge ?

For a guide to our fixed prices, please see the prices page. It is impossible to price boiler replacements, bathroom refurbs etc without having a site visit. Please use the contact us page or give us a call on 07879477252 to discuss.

Do you do Landlord safety checks ?

Yes we do, prices are based on number of appliances to check. We will not issue any safety check paperwork without a proper inspection in person, we can not do it remotely or issue any paperwork unless it is to current standards, under any circumstances.

How can I contact you?

You can call us on 07879477252, email us at yorkshiregasandoil@outlook.com, or use the contact page.

Can you sign my boiler off ?

No, we do not sign off any installation or works if we did not do it, under any circumstances, for anybody.

Can i buy the materials ?

You can, by all means but we do not offer any warranty on any work involving customer supplied parts. Any issues with parts, fittings, materials will be up to you to seek replacements from the supplier and pay to have them replaced. It very rarely works out cheaper buying materials online in the long run.

Is it cheaper to pay by cash ?

No, unfortunately cash is not king, and there are no discounts for cash under any circumstances, or for anyone. Bank transfer is better, as cash has to be taken to the bank to be paid in. All jobs are subject to VAT and all profit is Taxable without exception.
